I've been in church for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I sang in the choir, learned the importance of worship, and was blessed to be surrounded by people who loved God and served Him faithfully. Those early experiences laid the foundation for the ministry God was preparing in my life.
As the years went on, I had the privilege of serving as Music Director at my home church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. For more than 17 years, I've been blessed to minister through music, lead worship, and encourage others through the songs God has placed on my heart.
In 2016, I answered God's call to preach and became an ordained minister. Looking back, I realize this wasn't a path I chose for myself—it was a calling that God chose for me. Once I accepted that calling, I committed my life to serving Him wherever He opens the door.
Today, whether I'm ministering through music, leading worship, or sharing God's Word, my purpose remains the same: to point people to Jesus Christ.
I am humbled by opportunities such as being nominated for five 2026 Rhythm of Gospel Awards and ministering during Stella Awards Weekend. While I'm thankful for every recognition, my greatest desire has never been awards or applause. My greatest desire is simply to be used by God to encourage hearts, strengthen faith, and remind people that He is still working.

Music has always been more than a passion for me—it has been one of the greatest tools God has given me to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Every song I record is rooted in real-life experiences, God's faithfulness, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. Whether inspired by seasons of joy, moments of worship, or lessons learned through life's journey, each song is a testimony of what God has done and continues to do.

My prayer is that this song reminds every listener that when you've experienced the goodness of God firsthand, no one can take that testimony away.
Behind the Song
Every testimony has a beginning, and this song was born from reflecting on the goodness of God throughout my life.
There comes a season in every believer's walk when faith becomes personal. You're no longer living on someone else's testimony—you have your own.
"From Experience He's Sweet" is my testimony of God's grace, mercy, and faithfulness. Every trial, every victory, and every lesson has reminded me that God has never failed me.
My prayer is that as you listen, you'll think about your own journey and remember that God's goodness has been present every step of the way.
